Three people are dead and two are injured after a shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin this morning.

The shooting happened early Sunday at Somers House Tavern in the Village of Somers, Kenosha County Sgt David Wright said. Wright said in the updated release that authorities believe there is one "possible unknown shooting victim".

Officials are still working to determine the identities of the people who died.

Three people are dead and two people have been left with serious injuries following a shooting that took place at a bar in Wisconsin.

The shooting investigation is active and ongoing and anybody with any information is asked to contact the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.

It is not clear exactly why that person was removed, or whether there was one or more shooters, the sheriff said.

Sheriff David Beth gave a press conference on Sunday morning, and said the department wasn't ruling out the possibility of more than one person involved in the shooting, according to WTMJ-TV. Beth said two people died at the scene. He also said it appears the victims were specifically targeted.

"I know that there was a confrontation obviously inside the building and I believe just outside the building there was another confrontation with gunfire".

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers called it a "senseless tragedy" and said he and his wife are "thinking of the families and loved ones affected and the entire Kenosha community as they grieve and grapple with yet another tragic incident of gun violence".

Officials were investigating another mass shooting in Indianapolis, where eight people were killed at a FedEx warehouse Thursday.
