Premier Doug Ford says the Province will be announcing more COVID-19 restrictions tomorrow.

Multiple media outlets have confirmed the decision, which follows a lengthy cabinet meeting Tuesday evening.

Big box stores will be required to rope off non-essential items to focus only on the sales of essentials like groceries, pharmacies and gardening items - a new measure during the pandemic, sources say.

CTV News Queen's Park reporter Colin D'Mello told AM800's The Morning Drive that the order will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Thursday morning and last for four weeks.

The Premier added that anyone calling for paid sick days from the Ford Government is just playing politics as Ottawa already has a program in place.

Ontario's previous stay-at-home order went into effect on January 14 and was lifted almost two months later on March 8.

Essential stores include those that primarily sell groceries, prescription eyewear, safety supplies, automobiles and other vehicles, those that rent and lease cars and other equipment, and those operated by telecommunications providers.

Teachers who live or work in Toronto and Peel Region's high-risk neighbourhoods will be eligible to be receive the COVID-19 vaccination during the April break, the provincial government announced Wednesday.

The potential stay-at-home order comes on the heels of the province activating its so-called "emergency brake" on April 3, which placed all 34 provincial public health units back into the grey lockdown zone, the most stringent level of restrictions.
