"Through the loss and uncertainty that has come with this pandemic, we've seen incredible resilience as people throughout the province have adapted to the challenges COVID-19 has brought".
The province saw 550 new cases, 52 were identified in Northern Health, accounting for about 9% of BC's new cases.
Of the active cases, 249 individuals are now hospitalized with COVID-19, 68 of whom are in intensive care.
"The outbreaks at Fleetwood Villa and Glacier View Lodge are now over", reads a joint statement from Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix.
There have been 182 new confirmed COVID-19 cases that are variants of concern, for a total of 576 cases in BC.
"Our goal is to administer almost 15-thousand COVID-19 vaccine doses through Phase 2 clinics, between March 15th and April 10th, 2021".
There will be a total of four mobile clinics, in Horsefly at the Horsefly Community Hall opening March 19th, the Big Lake Ranch Community Hall on March 22nd, the West Chilcotin Health Care Centre in Tatla Lake opening March 23rd, one day a week, and at the Alexis Creek Community Hall on March 24th.
"Today, we pause and remember everyone who has died from this virus and offer our condolences to those who have lost their loved ones", said Henry.
"The demands on our system are not going to get less, they're going to grow, and so it's very important that people follow our advice and only call in to book when they can book and appointment." says Dix.
