Teachers are eager to schedule their first dose, after months of frustration with the state refusing to offer them more access to vaccines.

DeWine says there are about 1.2 million Ohioans between 50 and 59.

Come Thursday, it will be Regina Carswell Russo's turn to try for a COVID-19 vaccine.

Previously, residents ages 65 and older were eligible to receive the vaccine.

The governor after taking the vaccine said, "Taking our doses is, first, service to self then to people, because we can only silence the virus if we think and act together". That is one week since the last age reduction in eligibility.

In addition, during his talk on the Ohio Channel, DeWine also said a new online tool is up and running to schedule vaccinations.

There are close to 2 million Ohioans aged 50-59, a quarter of a million with end-stage kidney disease and about 170,000 with Type 2 Diabetes.

"This emphasizes that public health measures will need to be maintained alongside vaccination, until vaccine-based immunity has been afforded to the entire population", the report said. The college can not provide information regarding appointments or vaccine availability.

"These variants underscore just how important it is for all of us to get vaccinated when it's our turn and to continue to play good defense until more of us are vaccinated", Vanderhoff said. Go to the Northern Health website for information about COVID-19 exposures and outbreaks.

"This serves to remind us that while we are very confident that vaccine is very effective, and prevents particularly severe illness and death, it doesn't necessarily mean that all transmission will be stopped", she said.

He applauded the media for intensifying sensitisation programme on the vaccine, which encouraged Ghanaians to voluntarily avail themselves of the vaccination.
