TikTok Star Loses Almost One Million Followers After Posting 'Rude' Video

Dixie D'Amelio Dixie D'Amelio Speaks Out After She And Charli Were Criticised For Being “Rude” To Their Chef
Hannah Rogers | 21 November, 2020, 23:54

The video, titled "Dinner With the D'Amelios", featured chef Aaron May who prepared a meal for Charli, her sister Dixie, parents, Marc and Heidi, and fellow influencer James Charles.

The 16-year-old dancer and her sister, Dixie, shared a post of a family dinner with their surprise guest, controversial YouTube star James Charles.

Her fans asked her to stay strong and the sad fact that people will always be jealous of her.

Videos about Charli and Dixie D'Amelio's drama are going viral on TikTok after fans thought the sisters acted "entitled" in a YouTube video.

Elsewhere in the video, Dixie encountered a snail on her plate. "It's all good", Aaron May told The Hollywood Fix, when commenting on the backlash.

The D'Amelio sister quickly deleted the video and responded in the comments that she used the sound to make a point and wasn't trying to promote the use of a racist comment.

"All of this is happening because [of] a misunderstanding", she tearfully explained, as quoted by Us Weekly. "I just feel like that's not OK, and if this is the community that I'm in and the community that I put myself in, I don't know that I want to do that anymore". "From the moment he played me his remix I knew it would be the flawless send off for a song that means so much to me".

Charli also recently came under fire after she playfully complained about not reaching 100 million TikTok followers by her one-year anniversary on the app. Fans called her out for being "ungrateful" and perceiving her supporters as just "numbers".

Dixie and Charli have lost hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok since the video was released, with netizens accusing them of being "rude" and "disrespectful".

Wiping away tears, she said she had received death threats and hateful messages, adding: "People just, like, blatantly disrespecting the fact that I'm still a human being is not okay at all".

Charli D'Amelio (L) and Dixie D'Amelio arrive at iHeartRadio's Z100 Jingle Ball 2019 at Madison Square Garden on December 13, 2019, in New York City.

"My team knows I throw up a lot. I think it's a little blown out of proportion".

She said "I wish I had more time. I love [our] chef, and I would never disrespect him in any way".

He called Charli grateful for her fans and how he doesn't like these statements dragging her down.

Charles, 21, also took to Twitter and defended the girls.
