'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving' Will Indeed Air On Regular TV

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, Christmas specials are coming back to traditional TV following outcry over their removal

Both specials will also be available for free during three-day windows on Apple TV+ (Nov. 25-27 for "Thanksgiving" and December 11-13 for "Christmas.") For subscribers, the specials will be available beginning Nov. 18 and December 4, respectively.

After some pushback, it appears that some of the films will now be aired on PBS or for free on Apple TV.

The classic holiday Peanuts specials will also stream ad free and in HD on Apple TV+.A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will start streaming on Apple TV+ November 18, and the special will be available for free from November 25 through November 27. In Northeastern Pennsylvania, PBS affiliate WVIA will air "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m. and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. on WVIA-TV and WVIA's PBS Kids 24/7 channel.

Peppermint Patty invites everyone to Charlie Brown's for Thanksgiving, even though he's going to see his grandmother. That year, the Christmas special aired on CBS, which was its home until ABC won the rights in 2000.
