
HMD Global has launched Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4G feature phones select markets in the world.
For connectivity, it offers support for Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port. There is a 1,500mAh removable battery in both the feature devices and Nokia has claimed that it can last up to 2 days in a single charge.
In terms of the tech specs, the Nokia 6400 4g will come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, 2.4-inch QVGA display, as well as a 1500mAh internal battery. Other connectivity features include an FM Radio, LTE Cat-4, WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and dual nano-SIM support.
The Nokia 6300 4G comes with similar features but the phone sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display. This phone comes in four different color variants: Onyx Black, Opal White, Topaz Blue, and Citrine Gold.
The Nokia 8000 4G is priced at Euro 79 (roughly Rs. 6,900) whereas the Nokia 6300 4G is priced at Euro 49 (roughly Rs. 4,300).
The Nokia 8000 4G features a glass-like shell and metalised chrome midframe finish. The onboard storage is expandable up to to 32GB via a microSD card. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone. On the other hand, the Nokia 8000 4G comes in Onyx, Opal, Citrine and Topaz, and is available in select markets for a global average retail price of 79 Euro. On the software front, it runs KaiOS with native support for the apps mentioned above. The smart feature phone is powered by the Qualcomm 205 dual-core mobile platform clocked at 1.1GHz along with Adreno 304 GPU. 4G characteristic telephones are anticipated to be provided in charcoal, cyan and white colours. There is also support for storage expansion (up to 32GB) via a MicroSD card slot. The body is made from plastic and there's a single VGA camera around the back.
With small non-touch displays, numeric keypads and navigation buttons, these probably aren't the best phones for heavy texters.
The Nokia 8000 4G weighs only 110.2g while the Nokia 6300 is even lighter weighing at 104.7grams.
