A spokesperson for the HSE said it can not comment on individual cases or outbreaks, but said when a case of Covid-19 is linked to a school, "health professionals discuss directly with the person, or family as appropriate, and asks them about their contacts". The remaining people with COVID-19 are recovering at home in self-isolation.

There has been one new healthcare facility outbreak at Surrey Memorial Hospital and the outbreak at Langley Memorial Hospital has been declared over. In total, eight long-term care or assisted-living facilities and two acute-care facilities have active outbreaks.

A community exposure event has been issued for the El Furniture Warehouse on Granville Street in Vancouver.

"Getting back to work and back to school is also about getting back to the basics with our COVID-19 safety measures", the pair said.

There are now about 1,236 confirmed, active cases of COVID-19 provincewide.

The Northern Health region, the First Nations Health Authority and the Nisga'a Valley Health Authority (NVHA) have issued a joint alert for anyone in the Nass Valley who may have attended recent gatherings between August 21 and 25.

Any gathering attendees are asked to contact the NVHA clinic and if symptoms develop, to immediately self-isolate.

Since the start of the pandemic, most cases of COVID-19 in B.C. have been found in the Lower Mainland.

He adds "A close analysis of case numbers and patterns over the last week suggests that the epidemic is growing very slowly in many counties across Ireland, including Dublin".

As of Wednesday, 60 COVID-19 patients are in Ontario hospital. "This means we need to remain focused on our shared national priorities, which are the safe reopening of schools, continuing to resume non-COVID healthcare and protecting the most vulnerable to this unsafe disease".
