Amira Rasool, the founder of retailer The Folklore, accused Swift of selling album merchandise that ripped off the logo of her company, which sells apparel and accessories by designers in Africa and the diaspora.

Since the accusation, Taylor Swift's merch changed subtly, following legal action by Rasool.

We've rounded up 10 alternative artists we think Swift should collaborate with in honor of her new album.

"According to the merits of the plan, I think the designer of this merch ripped off my institution's emblem", she composed July 24.

Swift is now selling sweatshirts, t-shirts, and cardigans with that name and logo, all to promote her new album that she released last week.

Rasool added: "I am sharing my story to bring light to the trend of large companies/celebrities copying the work of small minority-owned business owners". I commend her team for recognizing the damage it caused to our brand. "I am not going to let this blatant theft go unchecked", she added on Instagram. "Taylor Swift's team took a great first step by removing "the" from all of the merchandise".

"I recognize that she has been a strong advocate for women protecting their creative rights, so it was good to see her team is on the same page", she wrote in a tweet.

Speaking to WWD, Rasool also revealed that the ordeal has drawn hate from some Swift fans who have called her "a b-- and a liar" for speaking out.

"Amira, I admire the do the job you're doing and I'm happy to make a contribution to your enterprise and to aid the Black in Style Council (launching on 8/3) with a donation", she wrote in response to Rasool's tweet. Afterwards, Rasool publicly uttered Swift for her answer.
