Cursed will stream on Netflix from July 17.

In addition to the online release of season 2 of Umbrella Academy, the 31 next July, it is the 17th of July that the streaming platform will add to his catalogue of the season 1 of Cursed, his new fantasy series range by Katherine Langford.

Nimue is then seen telling Arthur: "I promised her, and Arthur, I will keep that promise". So much the trailers have manufactured promising visuals, and dim magic paired with Witcher-esque medieval grittiness, so let us hope Cursed delivers.

The series is based on a young adult fiction book of the same name by Tom Wheeler (The Lego Ninjago Movie, Puss in Boots and Dora and the Lost City of Gold writer) and comic book icon Frank Miller (Sin City, 300, The Dark Knight Returns). In the story the lady of the Lake and Merlin help king Arthur in the fight against evil. She gave Arthur the Excalibur, enchanted Merlin, and raised Lancelot after the death of his father. The Queen of the Lake becomes the symbol of the struggle against the Red Paladins and their accomplices King Uther during the journey. Cursed is a coming-of-age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war, and finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible.

Then, a very creepy voice can be heard saying: "Our wish, is for the extinction of magic".

Wheeler functions as showrunner on Cursed and co-executive creates alongside Miller along with Leila Gerstein. The show stars Langford, Devon Terrell, Gustaf Skarsgård, Peter Mullan, Lily Newmark, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Daniel Sharman, Sebastian Armesto, Emily Coates, and Billy Jenkins.
