Norway will take on Nigeria in Group A play at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup on Saturday, June 8 at 12 p.m. PT at the Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims, France.

Norway moved ahead after 17 minutes, with a short corner catching out Nigeria and Caroline Graham Hansen weaving in from the right before finding Reiten, whose effort deflected into the net off the arm of defender Onome Ebi.

Guro Reiten and Lisa Marie Utland scored to help Norway open the Women's World Cup with a 3-0 victory over Nigeria on Saturday night. The Koreans lost 0-4 to host nation France in the championship opening match in Paris on Friday.

Hermoso tucked away spot-kicks in the 69th and 82nd minutes to give Spain a winning start to their Group B campaign after South Africa, in their maiden appearance at the finals, took a surprise first-half lead.

Two goals in the space of 186 seconds effectively ended the game in the first half. Thembi Kgatiana's goal in the 25th minute had given the South Africans the lead until the 70th minute when Jennifer Hermoso made it 1-1 from the spot.

But Spain's superior fitness saw them dominate the last half hour and there were other chances for a more commanding scoreline.

Norway, who had already been dominating the ball in the first half, continued that trend well into the second which left Nigeria very little time to do anything of note.

She started and played all 90 minutes in the defeat to Norway, described the first half a hard because the players didn't pick themselves up early.

Germany are now unbeaten in their last 13 matches, the longest run of any team taking part in the tournament in France.
