"Unfortunately, weather forced a postponement of today's FireKeepers Casino 400", read a track statement. "The race is rescheduled for Monday, June 10 at 5 p.m. ET".

The race isn't starting until late Monday so Fox Sports could broadcast the event on FS1 - it's contracted to show the FIFA Women's World Cup throughout the afternoon, per media reports.

NASCAR officials managed to get the track dry shortly before 3 p.m. and teams were on track preparing to begin the race, but another storm hit the track and prevented the race from getting started.

The FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway will have to wait another day to be run.

Greg Biffle will be making his first NASCAR start since 2016, and his first Truck Series start since in 15 years on Friday at Texas.

The race was postponed to 5 p.m. on Monday.

The 36 drivers who were set to compete in the FireKeepers Casino 400 took to the track for the pace laps in attempt to get the race underway after the initial rain delay, but the pace auto ended up leading them back down pit lane, much like what it did on Sunday, May 5 at Dover International Speedway before that race was postponed. He's one of eight Ford drivers to qualify in the top 10 for the race.

Last year's June race at MI was shortened by rain, but it ended on Sunday as planned.
