An investigation has begun after an Asiana Airlines Airbus A330-300's wing collided with the tail of a Turkish Airlines A321 while taxiing at Istanbul Airport on May 13, causing substantial damage to the parked aircraft.

Two airliners at an global airport in Istanbul, Turkey, collided on the ground, breaking off the tail of one of the planes.

There are no reports of injuries from the accident.

The Korean and Turkish governments are both investigating the incident.

A total of 222 passengers and 16 flight attendants were on board the plane.

Fire crews rushed to the scene and started a cooling process in case of an eruption of fire.

The Asiana's A330 wide body jetliner was bound for Incheon, scheduled to depart from Turkey at 5:30 p.m. local time.

Video of the incident appears to have first been posted to YouTube by a user under the handle of "tunderboy." The South Korean Asiana A330 airplane, which was heading for Seoul, can be seen making its way to the runaway as it accidently smashes the tail of the Turkish Airlines A321, which had just landed.

Almost 100 passengers arrived in Incheon through flights offered by other carriers like Korean Air and Turkish Airlines later on Sunday.
