European shares were supported in early trading on Monday by some good earning updates and gains in Nestle after the Swiss-based food giant agreed for a tie-up with Starbucks. It is a bonanza for Starbucks which has seen its business start to slow.

Starbucks President and CEO Kevin Johnson said, "This global coffee alliance will bring the Starbucks experience to the homes of millions more around the world through the reach and reputation of Nestlé". With a shared commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing of coffee, this alliance will transform, expand and elevate both the at-home and away-from-home coffee and related categories around the world. The maker of Nescafe will make a payment of 7.2 billion in cash to Starbucks Corporation to claim the rights to sell coffee made by Starbucks on various platforms.

Nestle will pay $7.15 billion as part of a global coffee alliance in which the Swiss-based food giant is getting the rights to market Starbucks products around the world outside the USA coffee company's coffee shops. The other is to put a foundation under its financial performance. Nestle will use the Starbucks brand in its Nespresso and Dolce Gusto capsule systems next year. The business has annual sales of $2 billion, about 9 percent of Starbucks's total revenue. The investment company of Europe's billionaire Reimann family has spent more than $30 billion building a coffee empire by acquiring assets such as Keurig Green Mountain and Peet's.

Nestle will also have rights over packaged products of coffee to sell in terms of a few specific brands listed as Seattle's Best Coffee, Teavana Tea Brand, Starbucks VIA, Torrefazione. A weaker euro, which helped the STOXX 600 end last week near its highest level since early February, could further buoy euro zone equities, while on the corporate front earnings updates will continue to drive share price moves. He stated that the amount invested might come across as huge but within the time period of three-four years, the company will be back to being stable again.
