Instagram's New Update Gives You The iPhone X's Best Feature For Free

The Focus icon was spotted last month on the Android Instagram application. Yes, the new Focus Portrait Mode from Instagram is now officially and the users of this application can now make use of this advanced Portrait Mode through their Instagram Application. Moving away from the new camera mode, Stories' users will now also have access to a new user mention sticker.

This week, Instagram introduced a new filter to their stories page, called "focus". An Instagram rep confirmed the Nametags test.

Open your camera when your in your Instagram story and there will now by a "Focus" option next to "Superzoom". When you take a photo or video of someone in the Focus format, their face will stay focused while the background subtly blurs, making the photo look polished and handsome.

Snapchat launched Snapcode in January 2015 that allowed users to add friends using their phone cameras. Now, however, as part of a completely new update, Instagram has announced the launch of a new camera mode, dubbed "Focus". Take a selfie or switch to the back-facing camera to find a friend.

Instagram is now developing a tool that will enable users to download their account data, a feature that'll mirror the similar "Download your info" tool available on Facebook.

Facebook Inc's Instagram will soon allow its users to download a copy of all the content they have uploaded on the photo-sharing platform, a spokesman said on Wednesday. Interestingly, the feature is now rolling out to all the users of this application with a new update. There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned. However, you will need to have certain devices for the feature to work.
