The YouTube shooter purchased her gun three months ago - and blasted through at least one magazine when she opened fire at the company's headquarters this week, police revealed Thursday.

It was a 9mm Smith and Wesson that had a capacity of 10 rounds. Then, just after noon, she parked her vehicle at a business near YouTube's offices.

About 11 hours before the shooting, Aghdam was startled awake in the parking lot in Mountain View, a suburb 30 miles south of YouTube's campus.

"At no point during our roughly 20-minute interaction with her did she mention anything about YouTube, if she was upset with them, or that she had planned to harm herself or others", police said.

Investigators will likely scrutinize Aghdam's movements during the almost nine-hour drive from her family's home near San Diego to the YouTube campus, examine the freaky videos she posted online and look for any messages she may have sent to company officials.

"They didn't do anything and she got killed and three or four more people got hurt".

Police declined to name the firearm retailer or the local gun range where Aghdam practiced shooting before driving to YouTube Tuesday, citing the ongoing investigation. "Also, there was no indication from either Aghdam or her family that she may have been in possession of any weapons", the Mountain View Police Department said in a statement posted on its official Facebook page Wednesday.

Aghdam was prolific at producing videos and posting them online.

The other two gunshot victims, a 32-year-old woman and a 27-year-old woman, were released after spending less than a day at the hospital. She exercised, promoted animal rights and explained the vegan diet, often in freakish productions with elaborate costumes or carrying a rabbit.

"I am sorry. I can't believe it", Ismail Aghdam told ABC station KGO outside his home in Riverside County, where authorities spent the day searching the residence, as well as a home in San Diego where his daughter had apparently lived with her grandmother. A woman named Leila who identified herself as an aunt said Nasim Aghdam was a "really good person" and had no history of mental illness.

It is not clear whether Nasim Aghdam encountered any security on her way to the YouTube building but the company said it will increase security at its headquarters and offices around the world.

Federal and state investigators have searched two homes associated with the family, collecting evidence.

Investigators suspect that Aghdam, who shared her own animal rights activism videos on the platform under the name Nasime Sabz, carried out the attack in response to new company policies that she believed suppressed her viewership and made it harder to earn ad-sharing revenue.

"YouTube filtered my channels to keep them from getting views!" she wrote previous year, according to NBC Bay Area.

Nasim Aghdam also ran a Farsi-language public channel on the messaging app Telegram, which had 6,000 followers. She then killed herself.

People in Iran expressed pity and shock that Aghdam would shoot others in a country that allows more social media freedoms.

According to reports, her father Ismail had informed the police of her daughter's violent anger towards YouTube when she went missing before the shooting.

Kimia Shobeiri, 18, suggested the shooting was a ploy to get attention.

A 36-year-old man who has been in the hospital since Tuesday's shooting at YouTube's headquarters in San Bruno is now in fair condition, a Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital spokesman said today. "But if you enter the system, you will see that it is worse than Iran", she said.
