Dan Fegan Dies In Car Crash

Dan Fegan Dies In Car Crash Dan Fegan Dies In Car Crash
Noah Ferguson | 26 February, 2018, 09:50

The tragic auto crash occurred near Aspen when Fegan, driving his SUV collided with a bus on Highway 82.

Fegan's five-year-old son and a 29-year-old woman were also in the SUV and airlifted to a hospital in Denver with "serious injuries". The bus didn't have time to avoid the collision, so it broadsided the other vehicle and knocked it into the median.

If Fegan's name sounds familiar to you, it's because he formerly represented big-time hoopers in DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall, DeAndre Jordan, Ricky Rubio, and Chandler Parsons, to name a few.

Last year, Fegan became embroiled in a messy split with his agency, Independent Sports & Entertainment, which fired him.

In 2016 he was listed by Forbes magazine as one of the top agents in the country. The two sides filed lawsuits, with Fegan seeking $30 million in damages for fraud and intentional interference with contractual relations. Although they were "shaken up", the bus driver and passenger were not injured, RFTA CEO Dan Blankenship said.

"The NBA family mourns the loss of longtime agent Dan Fegan", the league said in a statement.

Several of Fegan's former clients took to Twitter as news of his death was being learned.

Mark Cuban said Fegan held a special place in the timeline of his life as an National Basketball Association owner.
