Nintendo has announced 2 new playable characters and more support Pokemon that are joining Pokken Tournament DX as paid DLC this year.

Two new challengers will be appearing soon in Pokken Tournament. All of this will be released in waves in the next couple of weeks.

Wave 1 adds Aegislash as a playable Pokemon. This initial wave will include Aegislash as a new fighter and Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu as support characters.

On March 23, wave 2 will include Blastoise as a battle Pokemon and Mew and Celebi as support Pokemon.

One of the original Kanto starters, Blastoise is a water-type Pokemon that really needs no introduction. Today's trailer didn't provide any footage of this character, however, considering his move set has included Hydro Pump and Skull Bash in the past, we'll likely see a mix or ranged attacks and moves that move in quickly.

Pokken Tournament DX is available now on Switch.

New content will become available to those that purchase it in two waves, with the first arriving on January 31. The individual waves, unfortunately, can't be purchased individually.
