Apple is aware of the flaw and is working on a fix, and has provided a fix that requires a small amount of work. When they do, it will instead correct to "A" and a unusual character.

As we have mentioned earlier, the issue revolves around the autocorrect input and it is yet unclear why is it affecting some iOS users rather than all of them. So if your iOS device is affected by the issue that replaces the letter "i" with a capital A and a question mark symbol at the front, follow the step by step instruction provided to you below.

Not all iOS 11.1 users have been affected, though there are plenty of comments online from those who say they have experienced the problem. When the phone learns a novel autocorrection, such as the name of a new contact, it will be shared with other devices owned by the same person. The bug seems to affect iMessage and other apps including Twitter and Instagram as well. While Apple has promised a software update to fix the issue, it has in the meanwhile provided a workaround that can bring some ease.

It's done by heading to the Settings app, clicking general, navigating to keyboard and selecting text replacement. After that, you are required to type an upper-case "I" character for the phrase and a lower-case "i" character for the shortcut.

Apple on Saturday published a support page that includes a three-step guide as a workaround for the autocorrect bug. But if I copy and paste that text, it pastes out correctly, reverting the A and the icon into the capital I.
