Real Madrid coach Zidane tells Coleman: Bale not joining Wales

Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane ahead of his side La Liga clash tonight has hit out at the hysteria that has surrounded two consecutive defeats for the club, pointing out that the results have not made him a bad boss overnight.

Bale suffered a calf injury in September and has missed seven games for Madrid and two World Cup qualifiers for Wales during that time, including the pivotal fixture against the Republic of Ireland in which the winger's World Cup hopes went up in smoke.

On Sunday Real Madrid are desperately in need of a win at home to Las Palmas to end a week which began with them losing to newly promoted Girona and continued with them being outplayed away to Tottenham in the Champions League to start the alarm bells ringing once again.

But Bale, who Zidane confirmed will not go with Wales on global duty this month, and full-back Carvajal - who was ruled out indefinitely in September with a heart condition and trained this week - will not be risked. We're happy to see them back with us, but they are not going to be in the squad.

"As for Dani, things are normal now, the same for Gareth Bale".

"They won't be in the squad".

"Gareth is not going to be in the squad [to face Las Palmas] and he is not going to go with his national team. He'll be staying here working with us".
