Tubelight Review: Salman is a shot-down star in his one!

If the film is counting on word of mouth then chances are bleak as the movie has failed to grab lot of attention on the opening day.

Tubelight, also featuring Salman's brother Sohail and child actor Matin Rey Tangu, is set in the backdrop of the India-China war of 1962. Though it is an impressive number in isolation, it is rather average for a Salman film.

As Lakshman aka Salman Khan was a gullible guy captain rejects him and selects Bharat for Indian Army. Things brighten up a bit when the drop-dead gorgeous Liling (Zhu Zhu) and perky Guo (Matin), who are Chinese immigrants move to Jagatpur.

This weekend has been quite big for Salman Khan as it is. This optimism notwithstanding, critics have panned the film for being a poor adaptation of Alejandro Monteverde's "Little Boy". The film is too good in all aspects and it is definitely a must watch. The audience who are waiting to know the feedback of "Tubelight" movie can watch this film expecting a great story. The film will win the hearts of the audience. Like Bhajrangi Bhaijaan, EK Tha Tiger, Kick and others, Sallu has known for setting the box office on fire on EID. "Tubelight's" director Kabir Khan attended the event with his lovely wife Mini Mathur. Despite the film having bad reviews, the industry is a hundred percent sure that the film will collect more than Rs 25 crore on the opening day itself. It is expected that Friday earnings may cross this figure and the figure will go bulky on weekends.

What is making the analysts question the early performance of the movie at the box office is the fact that it is not a typical chulbul pandey of Dabangg or a Bajrangi Bhaijan or the latest Sultan.

It might pick up post-Monday once the holy month of Ramadan ends.
