Brendan Rodgers refuses to deny he is interested in the Arsenal hotseat

Rodgers may wait for Arsenal job- Paper Round Arsenal prepared to wait until next summer for Brendan Rodgers - and he is keen on the job

Rodgers has reiterated that he is enjoying life at Leicester but refused to answer whether he would be interested in a move to Arsenal should they come calling. "It's all hypothetical - all these types of situations", he confessed.

Wrongly it must be said, he has been viewed as more of a jovial figure in the media as a result of his witty comments to the press and his generally cheerful personality - not a common trait among many Premier League managers.

'I respect there will always be this speculation around jobs, but for me I'm very happy here and have great relations with all the people, and I feel like I want to continue with that. Most managers' contracts will have something in that but, for me, my only concentration is with Leicester.

"I think for me at this moment, we've had a brilliant win today, we came back really, really well".

'And it is a huge challenge here to break into the top six.

"I've been very fortunate in my career to work with some brilliant clubs and great institutions".

"To be fair, this team, starting from the players, to the staff and the manager - everyone - we are all together, so everyone is happy with each other", he continued.

The 46-year-old had the chance to dispel the speculation for good when speaking ahead of Leicester's midweek game against bottom club Watford on Wednesday, but failed to categorically say he wasn't interested in the job.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal have already reached out to Leicester to see whether Rodgers is available, but they were swiftly told to forget about hiring the boss.

Mirror Sport reported earlier this week that Rodgers was on Arsenal's shortlist to replace Unai Emery.
