The order which will come into effect on November 3, suspends the entry of immigrants who will not be covered by health insurance within 30 days of entering the United States or who do not have the means to pay for their healthcare costs themselves.

In proclamation issued by the White House on Friday, said it would not affect any individual's eligibility for asylum or refugee status.

FOX News contributor and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy says it's legal for the president to call on other countries to investigate corruption but also points out President Trump is vulnerable to the argument that the call to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden was done for political purposes.

The Trump administration w=has announced that immigrants will be denied visas once it is proven that they cannot pay for health insurance or cover health care costs as soon as they become permanent residents of the United States.

"This is even more draconian than the language in the new public charge regulations relating to those applying for green cards in the United States", said Julie Dinnerstein, an immigration lawyer with CUNY Citizenship NOW, a program that provides free legal services to the public.

The announcement was made on Friday in the latest move by President Trump to undermine legal immigration. The overwhelming majority of these arriving in the country as soon as a year are low-professional felony immigrants who compete in opposition to working and center-class Americans for jobs. Notably, data demonstrate that staunch immigrants are about three instances extra doubtless than United States voters to lack neatly being insurance. It's likely to face court challenges from immigrant rights advocates, who are already decrying the proclamation. Almost a third of them are already in the United States when they apply for their Green Card; and the rest come from India.

Thousands of new Indian visa applicants stand uncertain over this new immigration law in US. The White House has pushed for policies that would favor wealthier immigrants with special skills over immigrants from poorer countries, including in Latin America.
