Jacksonville Jaguars Jalen Ramsey deal NFL trade Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey makes it clear his trade request still stands

Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey made a guest appearance on the?17 Weeks? podcast for the second consecutive week and said his trade request still stands, but he doesn't know if he's played his final game with the franchise.

Jalen Ramsey wants out of Jacksonville.

Ramsey, who has requested a trade, left the team Wednesday night to be with his family in Nashville, Tennessee. I kind of touched on it a little back in last week's podcast.

The next day, Ramsey told a podcast featuring several National Football League players that his trade request stemmed from "some disrespectful things said on their end" in a meeting after Jacksonville lost at Houston on September 15 - a game that included Ramsey and Marrone screaming at each other on the sideline. Ramsey said.?For me, respect is a huge thing. "Peace and joy implies a lot more than the cash".

Jalen Ramsey is not going back to the Jaguars

The two-time Pro Bowler is in his fourth season with the Jaguars and requested a trade following a Week 2 loss to the Texans.

"I'll say the emotion really came from the unknowns", Ramsey explained (H/T NFL.com). Ramsey said on the podcast last week that unspecified Jaguars team officials said?disrespectful things? to him after their Week 2 game against Houston, and Ramsey then told his agent that he wanted to be traded. Of course, with his trade request still on the table, speculation has run rife on his missed days.

The Jaguars released a statement regarding Ramsey's absence earlier this week, in which head coach Doug Marrone said Ramsey would return "when he's ready". Marrone chuckled through a series of questions about his star defender and said "his back got tight". However, Ramsey insisted that he truly couldn't practice.

The Jaguars listed Ramsey as questionable for Sunday's 4:25 p.m. game at Denver. His designation on the Jaguars' official injury report was for the back injury. Against the background of Ramsey wanting out of Jacksonville, and in light of his illness from Monday and his back injury from Wednesday, it's hardly appalling to wonder whether Ramsey will turn the justifiable departure associated with the birth of a child into an absence of unjustifiable duration.
