French newspaper Le Parisien claimed on Monday that Schumacher, who has no longer been viewed in public for almost six years following his snowboarding accident, has been admitted to a Paris sanatorium for "secret remedy".
However, according to Le Parisien, Schumacher was transferred into Georges-Pompidou hospital on Monday via ambulance from his home in Geneva.
"The treatment will begin on Tuesday morning and (he will) leave the establishment on Wednesday", stated Le Parisien, which claims the previous Ferrari star has already been handled there twice this spring.
The Paris hospitals department, contacted by AFP, refused to confirm or deny the news citing medical privacy laws.
Schumacher's longtime manager, Sabine Kehm, had no comment about the report, which said about 10 security agents - some wearing earphones - watched over the patient as he was whisked into the hospital under tight security.
Former F1 driver Schumacher, the most successful in the sport's history as a seven-time champion, was involved in a skiing accident in late December six years ago.
Despite being an experienced skier and wearing a helmet, Schumachersuffered a traumatic brain injury after falling onto a rock and was placed into a medically-induced coma to protect the brain from further edema-related encephalopathy. The sporting ace was then relocated back to his home in 2014, where he continues to receive medical treatment. Inside, he was taken to a first-floor cardiovascular unit on a gurney with a dark-blue covering that hid his face and body.
The world last saw former Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher just before his life-altering skiing accident almost six years ago. He has not been seen in public since, and old friends say he is unable to walk or communicate.
Schumacher won a record 91 Formula One races before retiring in 2012. Doctors worked frantically to remove blood clots from his brain, but some were left because they were too deeply embedded.
