Sean Hannity Invites Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Hour Long Interview

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's, D-N.Y., comments this week to The Washington Post about Pelosi's posture toward the most visible new lawmakers in her caucus - which include Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of MI and Ayanna Pressley of MA - suggests that their differences might not just be ideological but rooted in something deeper. "I addressed that." She also added that she would continue to have a dialogue about this issue appropriately.

Ocasio-Cortez responded in an interview with The Washington Post: "When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm's distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood, " she said. "It got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful. the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color".

Saikat Chakrabarti, Ocasio-Cortez's chief of staff, referred to moderate Democratic groups in a tweet last month as "New Southern Democrats" who are "hell bent to do to black and brown people today what the old Southern Democrats did in the '40s". "But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just OK".

In an interview with the New York Times, which was published Saturday, Pelosi appeared to question how much political influence "the squad" actually has, as the four members were the only Democrats who voted against the legislation.

Clay's remarks came in response to Ocasio-Cortez suggesting earlier this week that Pelosi was racist in response to Pelosi's criticisms of her. "Four people, four votes out of 240 people, who cares".

The comments followed a contentious and at times emotional debate over the border legislation that split House Democrats along progressive and centrist ideological lines.

"I can tell you this as the Republican Conference Chair, someone who's responsible for a large part of our messaging, that we are going to be having these debates based on substance".

"Would you get rid of Homeland Security too?"

She regretted that Ocasio-Cortez was airing her grievances on Twitter instead of meeting with her face-to-face.

"What a weak argument, because you can't get your way and because you're getting pushback you resort to using the race card?"

"How dare they try to play the race card at this point", Clay said Thursday. "I am anxious about the signal that it sends to people I speak to and for, who sent me here with a mandate, and how it affects them".

Ocasio-Cortez is of Puerto Rican descent, Pressley is African-American, Omar is an African immigrant, and Tlaib is Palestinian American.

"I said what I'm going to say in the Caucus".

"We respect the value of every member of our caucus", she said.

He added that AOC's suggestion that Pelosi is racist was "inappropriate" and "unfair". Because they know what the facts are and what we are responding to.
