Already in their first game of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, the USA women's national soccer team is making history! No. 13 tallied her third of the night, a hat trick in the 73rd minute to give the USA a 7-0 lead.

It looked like the US was able to strike early following a ball into the box by Abby Dahlkemper.

Samantha Mewis opened the floodgates five minutes after the break as the US made life miserable for the Thais by regularly finding the back of the net.

And Carli Lloyd makes it a baker's dozen. Lindsey Horan, Mallory Pugh and Megan Rapinoe each had a goal as well to round out the scoring.

The midfielder then hammered the loose ball into the roof of Thailand's goal for the U.S.' third score of the night.

With the 10th goal of the game for the U.S., Morgan added on to her already flawless night by scoring her fourth goal.

Of the nine games in the opening four days of the tournament, the only capacity games were host France's victory over South Korea in Paris and Brazil's win over Jamaica in Grenoble.

Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis each scored twice.

The USWNT is seeking its fourth World Cup title (1991, 1999, 2015).

She was happy to set the table for others as well, notching three assists on the night, the most for any single player in Women's World Cup history, capping off a historic performance that saw her account for eight of the 13 goals scored. In the final group match before the knockout round, the Americans will travel to Le Havre to face nemesis Sweden, who they've been grouped with six times in World Cup play.

Chile should provide United States with a far sterner test on Sunday, while Thailand's next task comes against Sweden.

Sweden defeated Chile 2-0 earlier on Tuesday in Rennes, a match that featured a 40-minute weather delay.

The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup will run from June 7 to July 7. They are the No. 1 ranked team in the world, but their preparation this year hasn't gone as smoothly as you'd expect.

The two teams were the last to kickoff in the group stage for the monthlong tournament.
