A warning has been issued about the Fisher-Price Rock 'N Play infant swing.

A consumer watchdog has warned parents to stop using a baby sleeper after it was linked to the deaths of 10 children in the United States.

According to the CPSC, the Rock 'n Play is not suitable for babies once they're three months old and can roll on their own.

The USPSC did not reveal the exact causes of the babies' deaths, but said they died after rolling from their stomachs to the backs or sides unrestrained in the sleeper.

Fisher-Price says that its sleeper satisfies all security standards and educated parents to utilize restraints, put babies on their backs to sleep, also make sure that no pillows or blankets are placed in the sleeper.

Fisher-Price told CR in an emailed statement, "The loss of a child is a devastating tragedy".

On its website, Fisher-Price said the company "will continue to work closely with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and other worldwide regulators, to encourage the safe use of our products and find ways to keep your little ones happy, healthy and above all - safe".

Since the release of the Consumer Reports investigation, the AAP has also called on the Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall the Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play Sleeper, as seen in the tweet below.

Since the warning was first issued, the consumer magazine Consumer Reports has called on Fisher-Price to recall its Rock 'n Play sleeper immediately.

Fisher Price's parent company Mattel told the New York Times that parents should use the provided harness to secure infants and avoid obvious hazards.
