You may be prompted to restart the app depending on the OS you are using.

Finally, go back to the device home screen and swipe to the right from left and you'll see the Google Feed dashboard in dark mode. While the night mode or dark mode feature increases the battery life and AMOLED displays look more soothing to the eyes. The dark mode was released for beta users but now the service has extended the visually soothing feature to everyone.

First, download the latest update from the Google Play Store. It's not available to everyone just yet, but it is rolling out to beta testers.

You will see the option within the app settings to join the beta testing program. From there you can toggle the feature off and on.

With Slack's dark mode switched on, conversations will take on a dark gray background and white text.

The good news about the feature coming to Slack is that it's a pretty easy process to enable.

Facebook Messenger just started testing out a dark mode for its mobiles app. Once you have tried the new dark mode in Slack for yourself, we want to know what you think about it.

Google is taking its sweet time giving Android a proper dark UI mode, leaving individual developers to pick up the slack.

This feature is not only tested on iOS but also on Android. Update the app and then navigate Settings and make certain Dark Mode is enabled.

Instead of dark black color Slack made a decision to use a dark grey color for the app's dark mode update.

As you probably know, dark mode has become one of the most requested features for almost every app on both iOS and Android.
