While it is expected the P30 Pro will be powered by Huawei's latest and greatest Kirin 980 chipset, it was previously unknown how the device could stack up against its predecessor in terms of pure performance. But no. Once again the company's been caught using images shot on DSLRs to promote an upcoming device. Earlier today, the Chinese company launched the Huawei Watch GT (Classic Edition and Sports Edition) in the country along with the Huawei Band 3 Pro and the Huawei Band 3e fitness trackers. Like the P30 Pro, it ran on Android 9, but unlike its sibling, makes do with 6 GB of RAM.
The patent also hints at an interesting triple camera setup.
The codenames for the three P30 phones are ELE-L29 for the P30, VOG-L29 for the P30 Pro, and MAR-LX2 for the P30 Lite.
You'd think Huawei would have learnt from its past mistakes when it comes to its smartphone marketing campaigns. The smartwatch is as good as it looks, and here's what it offers. It earned a single-core score of 3296 and a multi-core score of 9900-both marginally above the P30 Pro's scores. The documentation reveals the P30 will come in 6GB and 8GB RAM versions, with base storage starting at 128GB and going up to 256GB. The Huawei Mate 20 series launched back in October past year, and it seems like the series is quite popular. The images are supposed to tease the ability of the new zoom feature, but as one GSM Arena reader spotted, one of the images was taken by a professional photographer using a DSLR. Huawei did not reveal the camera specs of its foldable phone when it was revealed a couple of weeks ago. The third sensor, on the other hand, will apparently boast a new periscope-like zoom system that can achieve up to 10x lossless zoom. It could be for a single Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor that's meant for 3D face recognition rather than taking photos.
As for the regular Huawei P30, this smartphone is set to ditch the ToF camera entirely.

As you probably know, dark mode has become one of the most requested features for almost every app on both iOS and Android. Google is taking its sweet time giving Android a proper dark UI mode, leaving individual developers to pick up the slack.
