During the closure of the trailer, Captain Marvel is seen in the Avengers headquarters and Thor approaches her while grabbing his hammer from far away. Marvel made a decision to drop a surprise trailer for Avengers: Endgame, and it focuses on everyone coping with the aftermath of Infinity War, and that's fun!

"Avengers: Endgame" is out in theatres April 26.

The trailer opens with a stranded-in-space Tony Stark recording a message to Pepper Potts, reminiscing about his early days as Iron Man.

"I keep telling everybody to move on", Captain America tells the surviving Avengers.

Captain Marvel earned US$500 million (S$680 million) worldwide in less than a week while Wonder Woman raked in more than US$800 million.

How did he get back?

They're all wearing new white costumes, that look very similar to the white suit worn by Hank Pym to explore the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

However, the final minute does offer some tantalising new footage (all set to the excellent, sombre rendition of The Avengers theme) of the squad gearing up for some kind of hail-Mary plan to combat Thanos (complete with matching new superhero suits), and, in a post-trailer stinger, Thor's first meeting with Captain Marvel. According to Empire, however, the latter was nearly an entirely different scene that connected Captain Marvel directly to Thor: Ragnarok. Captain Marvel then gives him a little smile and Thor then says, "I like this one" and the trailer ends. The film was received positively by both critics and audiences with some gearing up with excitement to see her in action alongside the Avengers in Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and others.
