It was a big night for Grande: she released her new album thank u, next (lower case intentional) after months of hype.

On Thursday, Grande attached a statement from Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich published by The Associated Press.

The tweets also serve as official confirmation that Ariana won't take the Grammys stage, after sources told Variety on February 6 that she cancelled a performance over song disagreements.

A source told HL, "Ariana is excited, happy and determined to go on with her Coachella performance after her Grammys cancelation". "I can pull together a performance overnight and you know that, Ken.it was when my creativity and self-expression [were] stifled by you that I decided not to attend. And I'd love to get her in the show this year". Ariana has previously explained that the track is about "feeling badly for the person you're with bc you love somebody else. feeling badly bc he can tell he can't compare. and how i should be ghosting him".

The 7 Rings singer said she is not prepared to engage in "playing games" with organisers, after comments made by Ehrlich in which he claimed Grande could not "pull something together" last-minute for the show.

As reported by Variety earlier this week, Grande pulled out of the Grammys because she felt "insulted" that the ceremony's producers insisted she only perform "7 Rings" as part of a medley, rather than as a standalone song, and that they pick the second song that she perform.

Grande had been promoting this year's 61st Annual Grammy Awards before pulling out.

"He just comes to visit me/ When I'm dreaming every now and then".

Not only did the singer post a brand new music video for her song, "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored", but she also dropped her latest album, "thank u, next".
