Ariana Grande not Performing at or Attending the Grammys after Disagreement

The insider claimed that the "stipulations" imposed on Grande were not imposed on any other performer.

After having an alleged argument with the award show's producers over which songs she would perform, the Sweetener songstress not only backed out of performing at the upcoming show, she's not even GOING to it!

The report comes as a shock, since Ariana is a nominee for two honors at the 61st annual show: Best Pop Vocal Performance ("God Is a Woman") and Best Pop Vocal Album (Sweetener).

She was "insulted" when they would only let her sing her latest single, "7 rings", as a part of a medley in which producers chose the other song.

Grande, who is up for two Grammys on the night, has had her face plastered over billboards around Los Angeles promoting the even, and has been heavily featured in television and radio advertising as well.

However, she pulled out altogether when they said she couldn't choose the second song. Both sides were thereby at an impasse in negotiations, to which the Grammy's counteroffered Lorde a spot in the Tom Petty tribute performance.

7 Rings was played a record 15 million times in its first 24 hours on the music streaming service Spotify. Kendrick Lamar and Drake are the top Grammy contenders, earning eight and seven nominations respectively while Brandi Carlile is up for six awards.

She is also planning on dropping a brand new album on 8 February - two days before the ceremony - which has been teased by two tracks that have broken records everywhere, Thank U Next and 7 Rings.
