Samsung started rolling Android 9 Pie out to some variants of the Galaxy S9 across the globe this month, but scant few phones in the United States have the update.

"Samsung started mass producing the Galaxy S10 at its manufacturing lines in Korea on January 25", a source from a supplier firm told The Investor on condition of anonymity, adding the global mass production of the new phones also started simultaneously.

Tech enthusiasts eagerly waiting for the Samsung Galaxy X folding phone should look this way.

The Galaxy S10 5G, however, hasn't entered mass production yet. Some of the new features include displaying the most-used functions first and placing buttons within your thumb's reach; allowing the top half of the screen to display content while the bottom half is used to navigate the phone; and improving the visibility of the screen so it's comfortable to stare at longer.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G release date delayed?

Touching upon the specifications of Galaxy S10, he said multiple cameras and the in-display fingerprint technology will be some of the features that will differentiate the upcoming flagship from its predecessor. On the back, we get a look at the device's three-camera setup, and no fingerprint scanner - likely hinting at an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The South Korean major's first foldable smartphone won't be cheap. Evidently, the screen protector will cover the phone's side edges, and it could come pre-installed.

The transformable smartphone will reportedly be priced at more than 2 million won (US$1,789).

In February, Samsung is expected to reveal multiple versions of the Galaxy S10 as well as the company's often-rumoured foldable smartphone.
