"Bird Box Challenge while driving.predictable result", the Layton Police Department tweeted following the accident.

A driver in Layton, Utah, crashed her auto while wearing a blindfold - a stunt inspired by the Netflix movie "Bird Box".

The department shared two photos on Twitter - the gray truck the 17-year-old girl was driving while blindfolded, and the white SUV she hit.

And the "Bird Box" challenge involves people blindfolding themselves and trying to live life normally.

No injuries were initially reported, Fox 13 reports.

The driver veered into oncoming traffic and struck a passenger vehicle.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the crash just north of Salt Lake City in Utah, US.

"I nearly feel silly saying this", said Layton Police Lieutenant Travis Lyman.

Well, we might be getting into an area where films that become pop-culture phenomenons require ridiculous warnings because just like the idea of sticking your head into a bee hive or swimming with sharks, driving with a blindfold isn't the cleverest thing to do. But she may face reckless driving charges after she and a 16 year-old passenger allegedly pulled their beanies over their eyes and attempted to drive down a local highway.

Jake Paul's bird box challenge video has been taken off Youtube.

In the viral challenge, participants attempt to do ordinary things while blindfolded, which, again, is risky for obvious reasons.
