Chelsea question Bayern Munich's move for Callum Hudson-Odoi?

Bayern are willing to offer the number 10 shirt to Hudson-Odoi, with Arjen Robben expected to leave the club in the summer, and it places Chelsea at a crossroads moment over whether to keep a youngster who looks keen to leave.

Hudson-Odoi's path to first-team football is now blocked by Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian, and he's likely to see more consistent playing time at Bayern considering their ageing stars Arjen Robben and Fran Ribery don't start every game and will leave at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old, who made 66 Bundesliga appearances with Stuttgart, claims that he has been offering advice to Hudson-Odoi about what life's like in Germany.

'As someone from our academy I would obviously love him to stay and the dream for all of us at the academy is to see our boys playing in the first team, ' he said.

Hudson-Odoi's selection to start Tuesday's 1-0 defeat by Tottenham at Wembley in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals was a shock, but he gave a good account of himself in a match that Chelsea were unlucky to lose. 'He is still young, I can advise him, but at the end of the day he decides about his future. You can see it from both sides.

Honigstein says Chelsea's asking price has now been met and that the player is desperate to go and try his luck in the Bundesliga.

"Maybe we were unlucky because they only had one chance and that was thanks to the linesman, the VAR", Alonso said.

Bayern Munich have already secured one signing for next season, but the club's sporting director has now confirmed they want to sign a Chelsea attacker as well.

"I see in him a really good player who would certainly be a good face to join us".

'It is [a compliment] and I don't think anyone would be surprised, ' he said.
