Facebook Messenger is finally going to introduce a lifesaving 'unsend' feature

Facebook Messenger Unsend feature gives you 10 minutes to take it back Facebook will give you 10 minutes to unsend that embarrassing message

Maybe it was because you included a typo in it, or maybe it's far worse.

As is the case with WhatsApp, time limits will be involved, meaning you won't be able to remove any of the things you said in past chats.

Facebook Messenger will soon roll out an unsend feature, which will give users a grand total of ten minutes to unsend a message, wiping it from your chat history.

Whether it's reaching out to an ex in a moment of weakness or making a poor emoji choice, many of us have hit "send" on a message only to regret it seconds later.

Facebook began floating the idea of allowing sent messages to be deleted in April after the company was caught red-handed retracting messages sent by CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other execs.

According to BusinessInsider, the new feature was spotted in the release notes for the newest Messenger update, but for now it's still listed as "coming soon".

Now, The Verge reports that people who use Facebook Messenger will have the option to take back the messages they wish they never sent-as long as they act quickly enough. It's unclear at this time whether the feature will work both on mobile and on desktop, but it would make sense for Facebook to offer the same messaging experience across platforms.
