Grande surprised fans by releasing a new song Saturday night called "thank u, next", in which she shouts out all of her ex-boyfriends by name.

"She taught me love / She taught me patience / How she handles pain / That shit's fantastic / I've loved and I've lost / But that's not what I see / 'Cause look what I've found / Ain't no need for searching".

The Breathin' hitmaker took to Instagram on Tuesday to say sorry to the dancer, after he posted a video of him listening to the lyric.

People were quick to reply to Grande's tweet to thank her for her honesty about mental health. It was meant v lovingly (sic)'.

"Thought I'd end up with Sean/But he wasn't a match", she sings.

During the first verse of her new song, Grande sings, "Thought I'd end up with Sean / But he wasn't a match / Wrote songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh / Even nearly got married / And for Pete, I'm so thankful / Wish I could say "thank you" to Malcolm / 'Cause he was an angel".

A source said: "She wasn't amused by Pete's jokes at all". Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh.

Ariana also insisted she is going to focus on herself after her most recent break-up.

Meanwhile, an emotional Davidson referenced the split on "SNL", calling her a "wonderful, strong person".

Ariana Grande's new hit single about her exes left a lot of listeners saying "Thank U, what?" the first the time they heard it. While most remember him for being involved with the whole donut-licking situation, he did get a mention on a past song, Moonlight, off her album Dangerous Woman.
