Tennis star Sania Mirza and Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik welcomed a baby boy to their family.

Former captain of Pakistan cricket team took to Twitter to break the news early Tuesday morning. "Alhamduilllllaaahhhh! @mirzasaniar @realshoaibmalik #babymirzamalik 30.10.18".

The couple, who have been married for eight years now, announced the birth of their first child, on social media. She has slipped from number one in the world doubles ranking - the first for an Indian woman - to 172.

Sania had kept her fans updated about her health conditions throughout her pregnancy and had been very active on social media. Farah wrote that her dearest friend has become a mum now and she is arriving soon to meet them all. Sania has delivered baby boy.

Sania Mirza's sister Anam Mirza also shared her excitement on Instagram, saying: "It's a boy Alhamdulillah".
