Redmi 5A will go on sale today in India via Flipkart and Mi.com - though at different times in the date. But with a better processor, Quick Charge 4.0 and other appealing specifications and features, the Xiaomi Mi A2 holds its own against the likes of Vivo V9 and the Samsung Galaxy J8. Xiaomi Mi A2 is an Amazon-exclusive smartphone and it will also be able via Mi.com. The phone will be exclusively available on Amazon starting from Aug 9 at 12noon.

Now, the Redmi 5A price in India starts at Rs. 5,999 for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant, and goes up to Rs. 6,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant.

The new Xiaomi 4GB variant with 32/64 GB storage will be available on August 16.

Xiaomi Mi A2 features the same 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro have. It has a 12MP + 12MP dual camera setup with OIS and dual pixel phase detection autofocus on the rear while the front has a 20MP selfie shooter. Incidentally, even the Mi A1 offered the exact same battery capacity. The Mi A2 doesn't have a microSD card slot. It's the second phone in the Android One series of phones from the Chinese tech giant. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.

Unlike the other devices from Xiaomi, the Mi A2 is an Android One smartphone. Moreover, Xiaomi is confident that it will be able to deliver the latest Android 9 Pie to the Mi A2. There is a 20MP front camera with AI-powered Beautify 4.0, HDR, and Portrait Mode. The camera appears to lack OIS. The company has announced the Mi 8 in China as their new flagship and it is expected that the phone will launch in India this month.
