"Yes and then he said "That's my sister we can ask her" and I said 'Okay I don't think she would lie to some old lady'".

On Friday, a retired elementary school teacher named Ruth Reed paid a visit to Wawa, a convenience store in the township of Medford, New Jersey, where she found herself in line behind a man who appeared to be short on cash.

Paying it forward at a Medford Wawa Friday led to a memorable encounter with singer Keith Urban for a local substitute teacher. When she remarked that he looked like Keith Urban, he said that he actually was the famed country music performer. She says she had made a resolution to help Wawa customers and jumped at this chance to do good.

Reed told CBS Philly she thought he looked familiar but did not immediately recognize him.

Reed says he thanked her and said his name was Keith.

When Urban pointed out his bodyguard, Reed "just went to pieces" and asked if she could take a picture with him. And recently, she loaned a man money without realizing he is one of the biggest country music stars in the world.

"It was then I realized what an idiot I was", she said.

"And he said, 'I am Keith Urban.' And I said, 'No, you're not really!'"

Urban, who was in the area for his concert in Camden, popped up at the convenience store and a customer managed to grab a selfie with him and loan him a few bucks.

Reed, who is very shy, has been getting a lot of attention over her interaction with Urban.
