Prince Harry and Meghan visit Dublin in first trip as married couple

Hannah Rogers | 12 July, 2018, 16:22

In a speech at the garden party, Harry said of his and Meghan's trip: "We're so pleased to be here, for our first official global visit together as a married couple, and we hope it will be the first of many!".

While the British royals are careful, but not always successful, in keeping their thoughts private, Meghan wasn't at fault when her feelings on the abortion issue were made public, according to royal biographer Robert Lacey.

Before her acting career, at age 12, Markle became an activist after seeing a dish soap commercial she felt was sexist.

In less than no time, Meghan had transformed, pulling her hair down from her earlier bun into loose waves and changing into a black trousers suit with a white shirt underneath.

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex meet President Michael Higgins and his wife Sabina Coyne at Aras an Uachtarain during their visit to Ireland on July 11, 2018 in Dublin, Ireland.

On day two of her Ireland trip, Meghan returned to one of her favorite styles: the boatneck dress.

For their second engagement of the day, the newlyweds visited Croke Park, headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association.

The royal couple did a walkabout of the stadium, before stopping to chat to some youngsters. The happy couple said their own vows as Rachel walked up the aisle with her dad to John Legend's All Of Me.

While she may have looked right at home outside the church, inside it was a different story, with the Duchess crossing her legs in a major royal blunder.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said their farewells to President Michael Higgins, his wife Sabina and their affectionate canines, they were off to visit Trinity College, Croke Park, Aras an Uachtarain, and the starvation memorial.
