The boys and their coach, whose team is known as the Wild Boars, became stranded when they were exploring the cave after a practice game on June 23.

Officials had looked at many different ways to save the boys and their coach.

The president of soccer's governing body, FIFA, has invited the boys to the World Cup Final in Moscow on Sunday if they make it out in time.

The four boys brought out from the flooded Tham Luang Cave in Mae Sai, in Thailand's Chiang Rai province, are in good condition and receiving medical attention at the province's Prachanukroh Hospital.

Narongsak Osottanakorn, Chaing Mai governor, said: "We will have to do the next mission as successfully as the one we did today".

"I confirmed the factors [affecting the mission] are as good as yesterday".

The operation, which started on Sunday morning, will take two to three days to complete, as each round trip from the rescue camp in the cave to the site where the boys and their coach are located takes 11 hours.

It was on his advice the first four boys were cleared to make the incredibly risky journey out of the flooded cave complex, emerging alive on Sunday.

"They insist they are ready to come out", Narongsak said Sunday of the rescue team. Thailand's Meteorological Department said there was a 60 percent chance of rain Monday with thunderstorms forecast throughout the week, the Associated Press reported. "Water is draining ok [from the cave]" and that operations to divert streams and pump ourt water from the cave were still under way. However, it is unclear if the device is part of any current rescue plans. British divers were first to locate the boys on Monday, July 2.

The daring and risky bid to rescue the boys - aged between 11 and 16 - was suspended by the mission chief late on Sunday to replenish oxygen supplies and make new preparations, which he said would take at least 10 hours.

Under thundery skies yesterday, 13 global cave divers and five Thai navy SEALS locked arms and vowed: 'We'll bring the Wild Boar team home'.

Thai rescuers are being assisted by an global team comprising experts from China, Australia, the United States and Britain. Authorities had said that incoming monsoon rains that could send water levels in the cave rising, coupled with falling oxygen levels in the enclosed space, added to the urgency of getting those trapped out.

ABC News' Matt Gutman reports on the ongoing effort in Thailand to rescue the trapped soccer players and their coach.

He said that reunion would be delayed by 24 hours because of the need to perform exhaustive health checks and that after that, if all the tests were negative, then family could visit.

An official reportedly told a Thai TV station on Monday morning that they didn't want to name the boys because "they're afraid it will affect the parents of kids who still remain inside". However, they ended up starting the rescue effort a few hours earlier than planned.

Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said her expectation was that four more boys would be rescued on Monday.
