The "Godfather" star was bleeped at the Tony Awards when he dropped a series of F-bombs about Trump while introducing Bruce Springsteen.

During the Tony Awards, De Niro, who has frequently sparred with Trump, drew a standing ovation with an anti-Trump rant. He continued, "I watched him last night and truly believe he may be 'punch-drunk'".

Representatives for De Niro have not immediately returned a request for comment. "The offensive language was deleted from the broadcast", the network said in a statement to Deadline.

Trump went back to the well with one of his favorite jabs - "low IQ" - but he did so while making an equally typical Trumpian error by misspelling a simple word: "too".

Trump's De Niro sentiment was expressed just one hour after he had tweeted, "Heading back home from Singapore after a truly unbelievable visit".

At Sunday night's Tony Awards, De Niro launched an expletive at Trump.

"I'm going to probably have to move there", De Niro joked on the day of the result. "It's no longer 'Down with Trump, ' it's 'F-k Trump'". While at a groundbreaking ceremony for a Canadian restaurant he was launching with celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa in Toronto Monday, June 10, the actor said: "I just want to make a note of apology for the idiotic behavior of my president". De Niro also apologized to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after Trump called him "weak" and "dishonest".
