A representative for the ITV2 show confirmed that he had departed the programme yesterday afternoon for undisclosed "personal reasons".

His exit will be aired during tonight's show, and it's up to Alex to reveal the devastating news to the rest of the Islanders.

Love Island fans were left truly gutted when it was revealed that Niall Aslam had quit the show stating "personal reasons", with only a few words being said on the show.

Georgia Steel, 23, who was coupled up with the Love Island contestant before his exit, admitted: "Obviously I was coupled up with him so obviously I came closer to him than most people here but it wasn't just that".

The show has only been on a week but already cheeky-chappy Niall was a firm fan favourite, however he has now left due to "personal reasons".

Niall then spent a number of days as the single boy in the villa until the introduction of Georgia Steel, who matched with him straight away. We got on really well. "And I look forward to catching up with him and having some fun with him outside".

"He was actually my friend, my buddy", she aded.

But the reason for his mysterious exit wasn't down to foul play on his part, rather health reason, according to The Sun Online.

Viewers picked up on the cryptic remark and rushed to social media to wonder what Rosie meant, with one posting: "Did anyone else notice Rosie reference Niall's dishonesty in her confrontation with Adam, I reckon he's broke the rules in some way and that's why it's so hush hush".

In a teaser clip for tonight's episode, it becomes clear Adam has pulled Megan to one side for a chat about why she didn't pick him to go on a date and expressed he has an interest in her.

Viewers of Tuesday's episode will find out about Niall's departure as well as why Adam has incurred the wrath of Rosie, after a preview was shown of Rosie confronting her partner in front of the other Islanders.

Love Island airs on ITV2 at 9pm on weekdays and Sundays.
