Starlink: Battle for Atlas, a toys-to-life game focusing on space combat, was first announced at Ubisoft's E3 2017 press conference.

It seems like no one expected the visit from Miyamoto, who stood up to a cue of wild applause from the crowd.

The addition of Star Fox wasn't the only thing Ubisoft had to announce when it comes to Starlink today.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas arrives on 16th October.

Star Fox is crossing over into an Ubisoft game. Battle in exclusive Add-on Star Wolf missions! You can check out some new footage in the Star Fox announcement trailer embedded above.

Releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, you'll be able to build a toy modular Arwing, attach it to the controller and use it within the game's space fights. Packs with pilots will be $7.99, weapons $9.99, and spaceships (with a starship, pilot, and weapon) for $24.99. Changes to your physical ship instantly appear in-game allowing you to immediately jump into the battle. Everything you do has an impact on your journey, and enemies will react and fight back intelligently and take over the star system if you don't stop them. The game will feature split-screen multiplayer for up to two players and seven "massive unique planets" to explore.
