While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their debut on a Buckingham Palace balcony on Saturday, Duchess Catherine was on mommy duty catching little Princess Charlotte as she fell during all the excitement. Brisbane is one possibility, according to Sunrise royal editor Rob Jobson.

The couple follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry's parents - Charles and Diana - whose first royal tour was to Australia and New Zealand.

Harry's older brother Prince William and his wife Kate also drew huge crowds during a 2014 visit to Australia and New Zealand with their baby Prince George.

The trip will be a poignant event for the newlyweds in a number of ways.

Meghan had previously let slip she would be visiting Australia for the first time when she attended the United Kingdom trials for the Invictus Games earlier this year with Harry.

The couple could be seen chatting as the event unfolded, and now, thanks to some lip readers, we know exactly what was said. They shared a carriage from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade where they witnessed almost 1,500 troops perform a military display as part of the official Queen's birthday celebrations.

All eyes were on Meghan's stunning white wedding gown by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy on her wedding day.

Meghan Markle hasn't been part of the Royal family for a long time, so she is definitely still learning about what that means. There appears to be no royal protocol against off-the-shoulder dresses, as the Duchess of Cambridge has worn several similar designs in the past. It's reported that the couple have lots of work engagements planned until the new year.

The former Suits actress shared details of her trip on lifestyle website The Tig called "My love letter to all things Kiwi", which was deactivated early previous year after she began dating the prince.

Her style is unlike any other modern royal, swapping smart dresses for flared pants, suits and ripped jeans.
