Beyond Good and Evil 2 Shows Off Katana-Wielding, Domz-Flanked Jade

Beyond Good & Evil Beyond Good & Evil 2 teases Jade as the villain

We finally saw Beyond Good and Evil 2 return at Ubisoft's E3 show a year ago, this time with no Jade and a focus on space pirates. Though, one of the major twists that played out in the trailer showed Jade-the protagonist from the original Beyond Good & Evil-to be this game's antagonist.

We also get to see the logo of the Space Monkey program, an aerial fight, a look at a group of enemies, and a group image with numerous characters.

A sinister-looking Jade was debuted in the latest cinematic trailer for Beyond Good & Evil 2, while revealing a new collaborative partnership with HitRECord. It all looks awesome. Artists around the well will be able to contribute to Beyond Good & Evil via music, art, and more. We can't wait to cruise through space in this sequel to the cult classic Beyond Good and Evil. The video didn't provide much in the way of new details about the game's storyline or gameplay, but it did feature a couple of familiar faces from the first Beyond Good and Evil, suggesting the game will have a much stronger connection to its predecessor than previously believed. This is all being fascilitated through Ubisoft's Space Monkeys community program.

HitRecord, as some of you probably already know, is a content collaboration platform co-founded by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. They also noted that it is a prequel to the first game, though quite how Jade fits into all this - and why she appears to be an antagonist - is as yet unclear.
