Harbor Freight Tools has announced the recall of approximately 1 million electric chainsaws due to a malfunctioning power switch, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The manufacturer has gotten 15 reports of malfunctioning chainsaws. One of the injuries was serious and required arm stitches.

Harbor Freight, a business that sells power tools and home supplies, has recalled several different chainsaws after discovering a risky fault.

This recall involves two models of 14 inch chainsaws sold under three different brand names.

Both the Portland and One Stop Garden both have "Portland" printed on the blades and come in green and black.

You should immediately stop using the recalled chainsaws and return the product to the local store for a free replacement. The Chicago Electric has a red handle with black components and a silver saw that has "Double Guard" printed on it.

For all three brands, the model numbers affected are 67255 and 61592.

Contrary to the recall notice, which said replacements were available beginning May 1, the company's said in a recall poster on its website that people can start exchanging their chain saws May 21.

The chainsaws were sold at Harbor Freight Tools stores nationwide and online between May 2009 and February 2018 for about $50.
