Google Wifi Network Check Now Tests the Speed of All Your Connected Devices Google WiFi Will Now Let You Check Speeds for Individual Devices Throughout Your Home

With this, customers will soon be able to test all connected devices when performing a Network Check.

According to Google, its Google WiFi users have an average of 18 devices connected on each network. Then, open the overflow menu and tap on "Test device speed".

If you are interested, you can pick up the Google Wifi mesh system straight from Amazon. The UI is not the same as the existing speed test-it's a popup on the same info screen.

The above option is great if you need to troubleshoot a single device.

Google has added a new feature to its Wi-Fi network technology that lets users measure how each individual device is performing on their wireless Internet network. Modifications can include re-positioning the WiFi access point, or even the device itself closer to an access point to get better signal.

A new update is rolling out to the app that will probably make this feature better, allowing the Network Check feature to check connectivity and bandwidth of every device connected to your Google Wifi. Knowing Wi-Fi coverage is poor in an area of your home can help you pinpoint the exact bottleneck when you notice a connectivity slowdown. But what about that new smart TV in the bedroom thats constantly buffering?

Google Wifi for Android and iOS already features a number of tools to measure network quality.
